Stylist Expectations and Requirements


All stylists may have their own liability insurance. Insurance is available for a minimal fee. We recommend the following company: Beauty and Body Work Insurance


You will be responsible for having reliable transportation. You will be expected to drive within 2 hours of our service location. 


Must be a licensed cosmetologist or esthetician in the state of Florida. 


Myah Glam Co practices a strict inclusion policy and does not discriminate based on race, religion, gender identity or sexual orientation. 


We will be scheduling you based on the availability you noted on your application. It is your responsibility to let us know if your availability changes. We will book you WITHOUT NOTICE for any of the days/times you have indicated you are available. You MUST let us know if there becomes a day or time that you are not available so that we can mark you off the schedule (google calendar) and not book you for that time. 


You are working for Myah Glam as an independent contractor which means that you are responsible for paying your own taxes at the end of every year. Myah Glam Co will send you a 1099 for all work completed no later than January 31st for the following years work. 

Code of Conduct

While you are an independent contractor, we do require a certain code of conduct for anyone working in association with our company. Failure to comply with this code of conduct may result in us no longer hiring you for freelance jobs. 

  • Quality

    • We are only interested in hiring freelancers who possess a required level of hair and makeup skill and whose work represents the style that we are known for.  

    • We also require that you possess the skills necessary to accurately assess a client's needs and provide hair and makeup services based on their desired style. 

  • Professionalism

    • We ask that all of our stylists wear appropriate attire

    • Punctuality is of the utmost importance. It is imperative that all freelancers be on time for all appointments and weddings.  

    • All of our freelancers are expected to act in a professional manner with all clients, fellow stylists and wedding vendors. 

    • It is expected that all of our freelancers keep their kits clean, sanitized, organized and fully stocked. 

  • Respect​

    • When you are working a Myah Glam wedding, you are a representation of our company. Freelancers are in no way to ever solicit work from clients, stylists or associates of Myah Glam.

    • It is expected that all freelancers will maintain an open line of communication with Myah Glam. This includes responding to phone calls and emails in a timely manner. 

    • When sharing photos on social media Myah Glam must be given credit for any post or story etc that is taken. The tag must not be hidden and fully visible. Examples of what this should look like are the following :  @myahglamco . Hair/Makeup for team @myahglamco in the caption. 

    • Myah Glam has the right to use all photos both taken by the stylist or professionally on their social media. If a photo is a taken at an event it must be provided to Myah upon request.


The following outlines an agreement entered into between 
(aka freelancer) and Myah Glam.  Freelancer acknowledges that as an independent contractor they are solely responsible for reporting all earnings to the IRS.  Myah Glam will issue a 1099 form by the end of January for the previous year’s work. The freelancer is also solely responsible for providing all necessary insurance, supplies and equipment necessary to perform job and is responsible for any and all personal injury or negligence to themselves, Myah Glam or any client. The freelancer understands that they are an independent contractor who is representing Myah Glam and should at no time market or solicit themselves independently on any job or with any client, wedding vendor or associate affiliated with Myah Glam. 
Per this agreement, the above mentioned freelancer agrees to be available any day or time they have made themselves known to be available to be booked for jobs without notice as long as the stylist has not otherwise notified Myah Glam via email that he or she is not available and such email has been responded to. Once Myah Glam schedules any job for the freelancer, the freelancer is legally and contractually obligated to complete said job. If there are ever add-ons at a wedding, let it be known that such services must go through Myah Glam.  Failure to do so will result in the immediate cancellation of a freelancer's contract.
Either party may cancel this agreement at any time, however in the event of the cancelation of this agreement, the freelancer is legally and contractually obligated to finish any and all weddings, jobs, special occasions or events of any kind for which the freelancer has been scheduled to work in any capacity.  If cancellation of this agreement does occur, Myah Glam agrees to, within 72 hours of the cancellation, give the freelancer a complete list of any and all scheduled work that the stylist has been booked and is legally obligated per this agreement to complete. If the freelancer fails to complete any of the scheduled work contained within the above mentioned list in which they are scheduled, they will be liable to Myah Glam for two times the entire contract amount of each job whether or not the job was completed by another freelancer.  This agreement supersedes any agreements entered into before it.  This agreement is legally binding and strictly enforced.
